Treasury Accounts

Treasury Accounts represent the actual financial accounts your church uses to hold and manage money -- such as bank accounts, petty cash, and savings accounts.

Accessing Treasury Accounts

Navigate to Stewardship > Setup & Configuration > Treasury Accounts in the sidebar.

Account List

View all treasury accounts with:

  • Account Name (e.g., "Main Checking", "Savings Account", "Petty Cash")

  • Type -- Bank Account, Cash, Savings, etc.

  • Current Balance

  • Bank/Institution Name

  • Account Number (masked for security)

  • Status (Active, Inactive)

Creating a Treasury Account

  1. Click Add Account or Create New.

  2. Fill in:

    • Account Name -- A recognizable name (e.g., "First National Bank - Checking")

    • Account Type -- Bank Account, Savings, Cash, or Other

    • Bank/Institution Name -- Where the account is held

    • Account Number -- For reference (stored securely)

    • Description -- Additional notes

    • Linked Chart Account -- Which account in the Chart of Accounts this maps to

  3. Click Save.

Managing Treasury Accounts

Viewing Account Details

Click on a treasury account to see:

  • Account information

  • Current balance

  • Recent transactions in this account

  • Balance history

Editing an Account

  1. Open the account detail view.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Modify the details.

  4. Click Save.

Best Practices

  • Map to Chart of Accounts -- Each treasury account should link to an Asset account in your Chart of Accounts

  • Reconcile regularly -- Compare StewardTrack balances with bank statements monthly

  • Limit active accounts -- Only keep accounts active that your church currently uses
